Known as rusty elm, the bark contains mucus that envelops mucous membranes. I was surprised that about ten minutes after taking two capsules, the pain in my stomach and abdomen subsided. The elm mucus seems to heal the inflamed mucosa. It's necessary to take slippery elm separately from other supplements for optimal effectiveness.

Effective gastroprotector! It alleviates pain in the right hypochondrium when the gallbladder is not functioning correctly, soothes the irritated mucous membrane of the digestive tract, eliminates gastritis pain symptoms, and normalises digestion. I take elm capsules 20-30 minutes before meals in the morning and half an hour before bed, ideally with warm water. Noticeable improvements can be experienced after 10 days of consistent use. I cannot recommend Slippery Elm highly enough for reversing stomach and intestinal pain. It’s best taken away from other medications, as it protects the lining of my stomach and provides significant relief. I prefer it for myself and my family over pharmaceuticals.

I recommend it for healing the gastric mucosa. This is not the first time I have used Slippery Elm, which helps greatly with my chronic gastritis. During flare-ups, my specialist advised taking it with meals to avoid heaviness. Otherwise, the beneficial effects are clear. I'm pleased to have found such a quality product from NOW.

Best gastritis remedy

For me, this is the best remedy for exacerbation of gastritis and stomach pain. It works more effectively than any pharmacy product. Thanks to it, I can enjoy raw vegetables and fruits throughout summer without gastrointestinal issues. I typically consume 1-2 capsules with a glass of nearly hot water.
